The Leadership Kitsap Class of 2017 Celebration of Leadership & Graduation Ceremony was held at Kiana Lodge June 21, 2017. The Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association honored Angie Silva, Class of 2009 as a community leader who is creating change and measurable differences in our community. Class of 2017 service projects were showcased while everyone enjoyed Kiana’s Signature Salmon Dinner. It was a beautiful evening to celebrate those working to make Kitsap a better place. Congratulations Class of 2017!

Team 1: Impact Kitsap partnered with the Olympic College Office of Institutional Effectiveness to create an event to promote Olympic College’s Stay on Course mentoring program focused on increasing student success, particularly women at risk. (Alanna August, Laurie Davis, Tracy Flood, Renee Greenfield, Richard Miller, Holly Paterson)

Team 2: Conflict Crushers partnered with the Kitsap Dispute Resolution Center to help establish a Conflict Club at Kingston Middle School modeled after an existing program on Bainbridge Island. (Sanjay Bhatt, Martin Cockroft, Jeff Horn, Lisa McDonald, Jeffrey Menge)

Team 3: BEST partnered with New Life Community Development Agency to create a dance program for inner city Bremerton youth connected to the Marvin Williams Center. (Kay Ash, Kwang Kye, Jon Rauch, Carli Schmitz, Shawn Willis)

Team 4: Kitsap Connect partnered with the Kitsap Community Foundation to pilot a program to help place qualified, interested people on local non-profit Boards. (Robert Fisher, Beverly Frye, Jorge Nolasco, Sally Oranski, James Ramponi)
