Meet The Teams
TEAM 1
See and Be Seen Poulsbo
Safety starts with awareness and “See and Be Seen Poulsbo” is all about making our roads safer for everyone—pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike! This community-led initiative encourages visibility, attentiveness, and mutual respect on the roads. They are proud to partner with the City of Poulsbo, whose commitment to road safety makes them the perfect ally in this effort.
At Viking Fest, they will share “See and Be Seen” stickers with QR codes that link to safety tips and engaging videos created by students from West Sound Academy. These interactive resources bring our community together to inspire action and awareness. By working together, we can build a safer, more connected Poulsbo—one where everyone sees and is seen.
Team 2
Together In Tune
Celebrating music and community, Together in Tune is partnering with Bremerton West Sound Symphony on April 5th, for the Naval Undersea Museum’s Education Day. This special event will feature local musicians, the Navy Band, and an interactive musical zoo for students to explore different instruments.
To make this celebration even more special, they are inviting elementary school students to share their creativity through coloring sheets and artwork, which will be displayed at the event. The partnership with the Bremerton West Sound Symphony is about connecting with the community and creating new opportunities for musical engagement.
This event is a chance for everyone to experience the power of music and inspire the next generation of musicians!
Team 3
ABC’s—The Allies for Better Connections
Loneliness and social isolation are growing public health concerns, but Kitsap Connections is here to help! This interactive social directory makes it easier than ever to find local resources, groups, and opportunities to connect with others. By bringing together businesses, organizations, and individuals, we’re creating a stronger, more connected Kitsap County.
We’re proud to partner with Kitsap Regional Library (KRL), a trusted community hub that already serves as a go-to resource for connection and learning. Through this collaboration, we’re ensuring that people can easily access the tools they need to find community, friendship, and support.
Let’s work together to build a more connected, engaged, and thriving Kitsap County!
Team 4
The Creative Collective
The Creative Collective is bringing nature and art together through a two-part project at Kitsap Forest Theater. We’ve researched, designed, and planned native plant signs for the theater’s scenic nature trail. The signage will be installed on April 26, creating an engaging and educational experience for all visitors.
On May 10th (12–4 PM), we are hosting a free, fun-filled event with the Kitsap Forest Theater to connect families with nature. Attendees can enjoy a native plant scavenger hunt, free face painting, games, and a raffle for show tickets and other prizes.
Partnering with Kitsap Forest Theater was a natural fit because of a shared passion for creativity, education, and the outdoors. We believe that spending time in nature reduces stress, inspires imagination, and strengthens family bonds. Join us as we celebrate the beauty of the forest and the magic of theater!
Team 5
The Fun Squad
Our goal is to empower kids and families with Kids Emergency Preparedness Training (K.E.P.T). Being prepared saves lives, and we’re excited to launch this youth focused training! This groundbreaking event will equip children of all ages and their families with essential safety skills to handle emergencies with confidence.
Through strong community partnerships with Doc Luvs the Kids and Catalyst School, we’re creating an engaging, hands-on learning experience for all attendees. Families will learn from expert-led demonstrations featuring Fire, Police, Emergency Management, 911 Services, Self-Defense, EMT, Compression for Life, Frontline Preparedness, and more.
This event is more than just training; it’s about empowering our youth, strengthening community resilience, and ensuring that every family knows how to stay safe.
Team 6
One Heart Wild
For a decade, One Heart Wild has been a sanctuary for both humans and animals, creating a space of healing, connection, and compassion. To mark this milestone, Team 6 is helping One Heart Wild celebrate with a Community Day and ribbon-cutting ceremony to unveil exciting new renovations and highlight their animals—better known as residents! Our team is developing promotional materials, such as maps and activity pages, to enhance awareness around this hidden therapeutic sanctuary.
The Community Day event will allow individuals across Kitsap to tour the grounds and learn about the therapy services offered, all while helping One Heart Wild build new partnerships, strengthen existing connections, and expand their services to reach even more people and animals in need.
You can support the Class of 2025 Project Teams at their upcoming events
