LEADING THROUGH CHANGE
Working with Bully Behaviors
with Doug Nathan
APRIL 15, 2026
Vibe Coworks Poulsbo
9:00am – 4:00pm
Leading Through Change: Working With Bully-Behaviors is a one-day, in-person, highly interactive workshop designed for leaders, HR professionals, mediators, and anyone who wants practical tools for responding to bullying dynamics at work with clarity, confidence, and humanity. Rather than labeling people as “bullies,” this course invites participants to look beneath the surface of difficult behaviors to understand why people act the way they do—and how those patterns can be interrupted in ways that strengthen individuals, teams, and organizational culture. Drawing on real workplace examples, neuroscience, and conflict-engagement practices, the day blends reflection, paired dialogue, small-group exercises, and concrete tools that participants can immediately apply back on the job.
Participants leave with a deeper understanding of how bullying behaviors are sustained by stories, habits, and unspoken norms—and how to shift those dynamics toward accountability, empathy, and shared responsibility. The course balances compassion with firmness, helping participants move beyond avoidance or escalation and toward skillful, purposeful engagement that reduces harm and builds healthier workplaces.
Participants will learn how to:
● Separate the person from the behavior so difficult actions can be addressed without dehumanizing anyone
● Recognize common “drama roles” (victim, persecutor, rescuer) and invite shifts toward responsibility and purpose
● Use brain-based tools to regulate emotions and build empathy during charged conversations
● Create a plan for addressing conflict issues at the appropriate systems levels for sustained change.
DOUG NATHAN has been coaching leaders for more than 20 years using systemic approaches that enhance individual performance, team dynamics, and inclusive workplace cultures. Bringing a strengths-based, whole-systems approach to his coaching and consulting, Doug doesn’t focus on just the individual—he looks at connections between people with evidence-based practices to develop leaders and teams. In his free time, Doug enjoys scuba-diving, kayaking, sailing, cycling, and enjoying the wonderful chaos of life with his family.
