Gina Stevens (LK09) Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe

The Class of 2015 was welcomed to their final Challenge Day June 12, 2015 at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Long House by tribal members, Gina Stevens (LK09) and Kelly Sullivan (LK13). The tribe provided lunch f0r the day.

Nick Wyatt (LK13) engaged the class in some lively dialogue regarding the Positive Leadership capacity, gratitude. Gratitude was a theme woven throughout the day.

Monica Blackwood, Principle for Rice Fergus Miller Architects, inspired the class to find their passion
and get involved in volunteer efforts including serving on a board of directors.

Woven through the day, each class member gave an oral presentation about what they gained by participating in Leadership Kitsap and what they will do with the knowledge they have gained by going through the program.

Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association (LKAA) Chair, David Emmons (LK14), introduced the class to the functions and benefits of joining LKAA which includes special invitations to Leadership Kitsap Alumni socials and workshops. LKAA also helps support Leadership Kitsap’s Positive Leadership curriculum. Membership is $25/year.
