Community Leader Peer Coaching Groups are cohort-based programs for the professional and personal development of leaders looking to learn and collaborate with other business executives in a safe space.
Leaders can use their current work experiences, and the experiences of others in the cohort, as opportunities for growth and learning through facilitated dialog. Group members can share their unique leadership challenges, gain meaningful insights, and create a system of personal accountability through the support, wisdom, and guidance of peers in leadership from across the region.
“[Peer Coaching] really helps leaders unlock ways to coach and communicate with their team to release their creativity, commitment and results. I feel strongly that practicing coaching in our sessions helped me learn how to more effectively coach others in my organization with open questions–and not leading them to my answers! CEO’s need friends and colleagues to grow with on their journeys and that points to the power of these peer coaching group connections.”
Chief Jason Christian, Kitsap Central Fire and Rescue
“As a CEO … I found the experience to be so worthwhile. Over the course of the experience, my insight into each other’s challenges deepened and I learned so much from the shared challenges of my colleagues. And I learned so much about my own leadership strengths and blind spots and how to reframe some of my challenges in a more positive light.”
Monica Bernhard, CEO Kitsap Mental Health Services
“By developing a more refined coaching skillset, I can build teams, enhance collaboration, and empower employees throughout the agency far more effectively. The insights I gained into my own interactions and behaviors allows me to be more intentional and less reactive as a leader. The facilitated peer coaching environment is the most effective model I have experienced in improving those skill sets so quickly. I came away from every session with tools I could immediately apply.”
