VolunteerKitsap.org is a centralized resource for non-profits with limited resources to connect with passionate volunteers in our community. VolunteerKitsap.org was chosen as a Leadership Kitsap team project because of the positive ripple effect volunteering can have throughout the county. VolunteerKitsap.org is a web-based platform that connects volunteers with well-matched opportunities within the community. The site is hosted by the Volunteer Center of Kitsap, Mason, and Lewis counties through the United Way of Kitsap County.

Prior to the LK project team, the site had been an underutilized resource just waiting to be filled with non-profit volunteer opportunities and volunteers willing to dedicate their time, talent, and energy to making a difference in our community. The project included a marketing and public relations efforts, including a free day of professional volunteer management training, that helped revitalize the website and reintroduced it to the greater community.
