The Class of 2017 had their final Challenge Day at the Port Gamble S’Klallam House of Knowledge in Kingston. David Emmons (LK14) engaged the class in some lively dialogue regarding the Positive Leadership capacity, gratitude. Gratitude was a theme woven throughout the day as individuals and teams reflected on their Leadership Kitsap experience.
Each class member shared their leadership journey in a personal presentation and project teams practiced their graduation presentations. David also introduced the class to the functions and benefits of joining the Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association.
What’s next for the Class of 2017? Kol Medina, Executive Director Kitsap Community Foundation inspired the class to consider serving on a non-profit board and demystified board service. Rebecca Pirtle, Kitsap County Commissioners’ Office Volunteer Services Coordinator shared current opportunities to serve on County Advisory Boards.
We wrapped up the day with a final “year in review” class discussion.
