Leadership Kitsap fosters and empowers educated, prepared, and engaged community leaders.
As we complete our 25thanniversary year, I want to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors, alumni, community partners, project recipients, past and present Challenge Day presenters and Board members. Thank you for helping us develop a powerful civic leadership program that uniquely brings together private, public, and non-profit entities in a collaborative, non-partisan way to explore our community’s strengths and leadership challenges.
We were originally founded in 1993 by the Kitsap Chambers of Commerce and the United Way of Kitsap County with the primary purpose to preserve and improve the quality of life for Kitsap County residents. Today we have re-established memberships with each of our local chambers and the United Way remains a primary program sponsor. Thank you for partnering with us to grow great leaders in Kitsap County.
This year we will celebrate our 600th graduate and the completion of 104 community projects! Our alumni are our legacy and a priceless asset to our community. Class members typically enter the program as established community leaders and emerge empowered to do more! Each has delved into local issues, connected with a network of peers, and embraced what makes Kitsap a special place to work and live. As we look to the next 25 years, we look forward to continuing to improve Kitsap County with our signature leadership program and broadening our focus by increasing alumni engagement.
Thank you for an incredible 25 years!
