The Class of 2016 held their final Challenge Day at the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribal Long House in Kingston June 10, 2016. They were welcomed by Tribal Chairman Jeromy Sullivan, who shared his own inspiring leadership story.
Tom Jacobs (LK12) engaged the class in some lively dialogue regarding the Positive Leadership capacity, gratitude. Gratitude was a theme woven throughout the day. Monica Blackwood, Principal for Rice Fergus Miller Architects, inspired the class to find their passion get involved in volunteer efforts. Leadership Kitsap Alumni Association (LKAA) Chair, Dvid Emmons (LK14), introduced the class to the functions and benefits of joining LKAA. Each class member shared their leadership journey in a personal presentation and project teams practiced their graduation presentations.
We wrapped up the day with a final “year in review” class discussion.
